Kelly Rowland on Beyoncé album: ‘It was a surprise for me’

Kelly Rowland has revealed that she was also surprised when Beyoncé dropped her fifth album without warning in December.
Although Bey’s Destiny’s Child bandmate had some idea there was a new album coming, she was shocked by the sudden release of the record, which also included 17 music videos.
Asked about the surprise release by the Huffington Post, Kelly said: “Genius! I didn’t know what day, but I knew it was coming. It was the most brilliant. I’m super proud of her.”
She added: “I can’t listen to it because it makes me cry, but my favourite song on the album is Blue.
“Also, Heaven. As soon as that song comes on, it’s something that’s very spiritual about that record that’s incredible.”
She also gave a special mention to Flawless.
