Kylie on new album: ‘I didn’t know where I was going’
By Sam Rigby
Kylie Minogue has admitted that working on her twelfth studio album “wasn’t the easiest road”.
The All The Lovers singer said that she had no idea “what the future held” at the end of her K25 celebrations in 2012.
She told The Sun: “I actually didn’t know where I was going or what the future held at the end of 2012. There’s been a lot of change, this album is about taking the plunge and embracing the future and not holding on to things from the past.”
Kylie explained that signing with Jay Z’s Roc Nation and joining The Voice UK have helped her feel inspired.
“It wasn’t the easiest road but signing with Roc Nation, spending a lot of time in America and doing The Voice gave me a challenge and I needed that to feel reinvigorated,” she said.
Into The Blue – the lead single from the currently untitled LP – will debut on January 27, ahead of an official release on March 16.
Despite feeling “nervous” about the album’s release, Kylie said that she “genuinely can’t wait” for fans to hear the record.
We can’t wait either, Kylie!
