Lena Waithe and her wife Alana Mayo has split just two months after announcing their marriage.
The screenwriter, producer and actress revealed to John Legend on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in November that she had tied the knot with her partner Alana Mayo, after they announced their engagement in 2017.
However, Entertainment Tonight has reported that the couple have gone their separate ways after just two months of being married.
In a joint statement, they said: “After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways.
“We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”
When announcing their marriage, Waithe told Legend: “We snuck and did it, you know.
“We went to San Francisco. We went to the courthouse and got married right in front of Harvey Milk’s bust.
“It was her idea, like all good things are, and she was just driving and she saw the courthouse and she said, ‘We should get married there,’ and I said, ‘Cool, I’m down.'”
