Madonna, George Clooney and Cher will be auctioning off items for the Stonewall National Monument

A number of celebrities will be celebrating at the Stonewall Inn to celebrate the Stonewall National Monument being built.
A wide number of celebrities are coming together to raise money for the maintenance of the Stonewall National Monument through the National Park service.
Some of the A list celebrities that will be raising money for the cause are Madonna, George Clooney, Cher, Andy Cohen, Neil Patrick Harris, Cyndi Lauper, Anderson Cooper, Michael Bublé, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Troye Sivan.
The event launches on Monday October 24th from 6 – 9 P.M. at the Stonewall Inn with the festivities will beginning on October 25th and goes on for two weeks.
Cher will be auctioning off a Couture hat that she bought in London. Madonna will be auctioning off a pair of signed Prada shoes. Stevie Nicks has given an autographed tambourine. All the money that will be raised is going to create and maintain the park.
President Obama announced the park back on June 24th, 2016, saying: “I’m designating the Stonewall National Monument as the newest addition to America’s National Park System. Stonewall will be our first national monument to tell the story of the struggle for LGBT rights. I believe our national parks should reflect the full story of our country, the richness and diversity and uniquely American spirit that has always defined us. That we are stronger together. That out of many, we are one.”
