Man hospitalised following suspected homophobic attack in south London
Police are appealing for information following the incident in Denmark Hill in the early hours of Sunday (14 July).

A man was hospitalised after being attacked in south London over the weekend, in what police are treating as a suspected homophobic hate crime.
The 29-year-old victim was assaulted in Denmark Hill near the junction with Camberwell Road shortly after 3am on Sunday (14 July). He was taken to hospital with a non life-threatening head injury and has since been discharged.
A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm i(GBH) and has been released under investigation.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said they were treating the attack as a suspected hate crime due to remarks made prior to the assault, and appealed to the public for information.

The latest incident comes less than two months after a lesbian couple were brutally assaulted on a London bus, reportedly after refusing to kiss for a group of men.
Last month, analysis by The Guardian showed homophobic and transphobic hate crimes in England and Wales rose 144% per capita between 2013-14 and 2017-18, more than doubling from 4,600 reported incidents to 11,600.
