Man to appear in court today over Vauxhall bleach attack

A man has been charged in relation to the apparent homophobic attack that took place in Vauxhall, south London last weekend.

Two gay men were sprayed with bleach outside Vauxhall’s Lightbox club in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 8). One of the men has been told he may lose his eyesight following the attack.

A third man was attacked in the vicinity of the club on the same night.

Jonathan William Lynn, 31, of Worcester Park in south-west London, has now been charged with wounding with intent, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and possession of a weapon for discharge of a noxious liquid/gas in connection with the incident.

He will appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates court today (June 13) to hear the charges against him.
