‘Mean Girls’ actor Jonathan Bennett ‘outed’ as gay?
By Josh Haggis
star Jonathan Bennett seems to have been “outed” as gay.
The 33-year-old actor, best known for playing Aaron Samuels in iconic 2004 teen movie Mean Girls, is currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, the US equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier this year he was voted the hottest male LGBT celebrity – but has never
publicly confirmed rumours about his sexuality.
However, during an appearance on US entertainment show Extra earlier this week, Dancing with the Stars judge Julianne Hough seemed to confirm that the actor is indeed gay.
“He tweeted me last year and said, like, I had a nice butt, but he also tagged my trainer,” Hough recalled. “And so I was like, ‘Oh, he’s hitting on me. I should try to go on a date with him.'”
When the show’s host, Mario Lopez, asked Hough what happened next, she replied: “He’s gay. So, I was like, that’s not gonna work.”
When contacted by The Huffington Post, a spokesperson for Bennett declined to comment on the actor’s sexuality or Hough’s comments.
