A meteorologist proposed to his boyfriend in the most epic way… in front of a tornado in Kansas.
Joey Krastel, 27, works as a meteorologist for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency and is a self-proclaimed ‘storm chaser’ and his passion for storms brought him together with his boyfriend, Chris Scott.
And to celebrate their love, Joey decided to get down on one knee to ask the important question and instead of a traditional proposal, the ‘storm chaser’ upped the game and asked the question with a tornado in the distance.
While speaking to NBC News, Joey said: “I felt like it would be this perfect way to seal the deal.”
Thankfully, Chris said yes but the couple had to quickly leave the area as the storm was fast approaching them.
Joey continued: “I called to my friends to get back in the car. I was just so emotional because it was my happiest place, being with him next to the storms.”
He then posted an image on Twitter with the caption: “The 2 loves of my life.”
