Mike Pence’s brother has claimed the Vice President and his wife “are not” anti-LGBT.
Greg Pence – a Congressman in Indiana – was asked about his sister-in-law’s decision to teach art at the Immanuel Christian School, which publicly admits to banning LGBT+ students and staff from the institution.
While being sidstepped by TMZ, Greg was asked to reassure the public whether Mike and Karen are not anti-LGBT, to which he replied: “My brother and sister-in-law are not.”
Despite his brother’s reassurance, the Vice President has a record of opposing LGBT+ protections from discrimination as well as not supporting HIV patients after proposing to block funding for a HIV charity while running for Congress in 2000.
Even last year, he failed to mention LGBT+ people or homophobia during his speech on World Aids Day.
