National Coming Out Day 2015: 10 inspiring tweets
It’s National Coming Out Day today, prompting a hashtag full of great stories, inspiring words and – obviously – the occasional troll.
Those who have been out and proud for years and those who have yet to take that big step will be thinking today about their own experiences with telling their nearest and dearest about who they really are.
There are many people who don’t think coming out should be noteworthy anymore, especially when it’s a public figure. But coming out is still an emotionally turbulent time for anyone, and celebrities doing it set a great example of bravery and, hopefully, the reaction shows love and acceptance.
