New Trend: Stripism by Kris Cieslak

A highly successful artist from Poland, Kris Cieslak now lives and works in London. He has worked many years to achieve great success and critical acclaim, from his numerous exhibitions in London, Paris, Rome, Milan and Warsaw.

“This has been one of the busiest but also most successful years of my life – starting with exhibitions in Rome and Milan, via Espacio Gallery in Shoreditch and Home House, Marble Arch, to the Decorative Art Fair in Battersea and The Catharine Miller Gallery in Earls Court,” Kris says.

Kris focuses on human feelings and interpersonal relations, and the strive for physical and spiritual perfection. Although cutting edge, his work is not extreme in any sense. Instead it is very sleek and aesthetically balanced, like a good piece of architecture or engineering. There is order and proportion, and method.

With the use of his trademark style of black and white stripes he achieves the illusion of a three-dimensional space and gentle up and down and sideways movement. This unique and original style has already become widely recognised in the art world as stripism. The outcome is truly innovative, no wonder he is very sought after by international collectors.

After curating “A Conscious Identity”, a highly successful exhibition in Espacio Gallery he become a member of the non-profit Chrom Art Group, which focuses on helping young artists with their first steps into the world of art.

His paintings can be seen on the walls of The Adam & Eve restaurant in Mill Hill, Home House in Marble Arch and soon in The Prince Albert Pub in Camden Town.
