A sports presenter was called a ‘f*g’ by the radio station where he works a week after coming out.
Seth Dunlap has been working with WWL in New Orleans since 2011 and hosts of the station’s weeknight sports show The Last Lap With Seth Dunlap.
Last week, he penned a personal essay detailing his sexuality and fans of his show praised him for coming out.
However, the radio station went the opposite way and posted a homophobic remark onto his Twitter account.
When tweeting on his own account: “Which of these 5 “overreactions” isn’t actually an overreaction? You tell me…”
The official account for WWL replied: “That you’re a f*g.”
Although the tweet has now been deleted, social media did the best thing it could and screenshotted the reply.
My wife used to tell me not to go on this radio station because she always felt undertones in their political coverage. Looks like she was right. @WWLAMFM pic.twitter.com/x8AalJCwu9

The station then issued an apology saying: “We are aware of a tweet that went out today from the WWL account.
“The content of the tweet is categorically offensive and abhorrent to the station.
“We are actively investigating this incident and will take swift and appropriate action once we determine how this occurred.”
