An Ohio lawmaker blamed the recent mass shootings in Texas and Ohio on ‘trans people, gay marriage and drag queen advocates’.
Candice Keller – who is running for the Ohio Senate in Butler County in 2020 – made the outrageously insensitive comments on Facebook hours after 29 people were murdered in two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio,
Although she deleted the said Facebook post, screenshots of the comments have been circulating online with people calling her out for the ridiculous post.
She wrote: “After every mass shooting, the liberals start the blame game. Why not place the blame where it belongs?”
Keller then went on to list all the reasons why she thinks mass shootings happen and included, ‘The breakdown of the traditional American family (thank you, transgender, homosexual marriage, and drag queen advocates)’.
However, she failed to actually mention white, heterosexual males who are reportedly the typical demographic of mass shooters in the US.
Understandably, her comments were shared online with people, celebrities and others calling her out.
So now mass shootings are the gays fault too?! 🤦🏼♂️ https://t.co/3kcHqrbWAy

It’s been more than obvious for a long time that the ignoble #CandiceKeller of #Ohio is one of the stupidest women to ever draw a breath. Here’s hoping the good people of Middletown vote her out. https://t.co/HB6bkQMNfP

Hey #CandiceKeller, please do the citizens of OH-53 a favor and resign. End our statewide embarrassment. pic.twitter.com/sJxJQ6PfdJ

Meet Rep. Candice Keller. She’s the heinous human representing the Butler County, which is down the way from Dayton.
Also, she’s going to run for Senate.
I just said out loud, “I’d move and challenge her just to ensure her ass never sees the halls of the Statehouse again.” pic.twitter.com/4s9Lxit4Xg
