One Foot In The Grave star Richard Wilson suffers a heart attack

Actor Richard Wilson has had to pull out of his Edinburgh Festival Fringe engagement after suffering a heart attack. His show, I Don’t Believe It! An Evening with Victor Meldrew was set to begin next Tuesday (August 16).
The show’s promoters, Assembly, released a statement saying “Due to ill health, Richard Wilson has taken the decision, to take some time out.
“He is sorry to have to disappoint those hoping to see him in Edinburgh.
“We hope to plan further shows for later in the year.”
According to the BBC, the actor, who came out as gay publicly in 2013, is in a stable condition in hospital.
80-year-old Richard is best known for his starring role as Victor Meldrew in the hit BBC comedy, One Foot In The Grave, as well as the 1980s series, Tutti Frutti. He’s also known for his theatre work, having studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
