Orlando: The world remembers, one month on
By Will Stroude
Yesterday (July 12) marked one month since the devastating shootings at Pulse nightclub, Orlando, and around the world, members of the LGBT community, allies and organizations have taken to Twitter to show their support for the victims and their families.
As a memorial continued to grow outside the club yesterday, some have been taking the opportunity to reignite discussions about gun legislation, while others are simply urging the world not to forget the 49 lives lost when shooter Omar Mateen opened fire on crowds in the early hours of Sunday, June 12.
