Pastor caught in car with tied up naked man claims he was ‘counseling’ him
Police found the 61-year-old in a car with a naked man tied up with rope
A Pennsylvanian pastor has insisted he was “counseling” a naked man who was found tied up with rope in his car.
Neighbours called police last Friday night (February 9) after they witnessed a naked man get out of a car in full view of their daughter’s window in Homestead, an area just outside Pittsburgh.
According to the NYPost, when police later arrived at the scene, they found 61-year-old George Nelson Gregory sitting in the backseat with a naked man tied up with nylon rope sitting at the front.
Gregory and the unnamed man were arrested for lewdness and indecent exposure, but soon after the preacher told KDKA-TV he has “nothing to hide.”
“I was counseling a young man with a drug problem,” he insisted. “It did turn strange, but it wasn’t my doing… And I was adamant that I’m not participating in that way. That’s when the police pulled up, and they assumed things, but I’m standing by my story.”
Gregory then claimed that the unnamed propositioned him.
He explained: “I won’t deny that he began to take his clothes off and propositioned me, but I will deny on a stack of Bibles with God as my witness, that I did nothing.”
Supposedly, the pastor and his wife had been trying to help the man for years. The one thing the preacher failed to explain, however, was how the man managed to tie himself up.
According to the crime report, Gregory allegedly told arresting officers that he was “just playing” with the other man and that they “meet up from time to time to play with each other.”
The preacher, however, insisted that such behaviour had “never happened.”
