A gay man has been brutally attacked by two drunk thugs in broad daylight in Poland.

Miłosz Miklaszewski recounted the terrifying incident on Facebook after spending two nights in hospital following the attack in Poznań, western Poland last Tuesday (11 August).

Miłosz recalled how he was enjoying the “beautiful, sunny weather” during a day off work on Rusalka Wild Beach when two “drunk guys” began abusing passers-by and made their way towards him.

“I grabbed things and wanted to escape because I avoid situations like this most often but I didn’t make it,” he wrote.

“I don’t know if they saw how I wanted to run or what but they suddenly found themselves next to me. I panicked and didn’t know what to do. Suddenly I felt impotence filling me. One of them pulled out a telescope stick. I was attacked with her. I was beaten especially on my head and face by one of them.”

Miłosz added that he had no idea what motivated the vicious, unprovoked attacked, but suspected he had been targeted because of his “dyed hair and earring”.

“It was terrible… Nothing like this has ever happened to me in my life,” he said.

Worse still, Miłosz recalled how onlookers witnessed the attack but failed to intervene.

In his Facebook post, he urged anyone with information about the two attackers to get in touch with the police.
