Ricky Gervais sparks Twitter debate over gay marriage

Ricky Gervais was involved in a Twitter debate over the weekend regarding the legalisation of same-sex marriage in England and Wales.
The British comedian took to the social media site to voice his support for the new law, calling it a “victory for all of us”. On Saturday (March 29), he tweeted:
Following the tweet, several of the 52-year-old’s followers replied to him, with one tweeter saying that the law took equality “too far”. The comedian responded by tweeting:
