Rihanna has been secretly helping a fan come out as gay
A young man has shared private messages of support sent by the singer.

A young black man who has struggled with coming out as gay has found an unlikely life coach, in the form of his idol Rihanna.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, direct messaged the pop icon and told her about his struggles.
To his surprise, she replied, telling him “It’s okay to be scared, but it’s more important to be who you are!”
He went back to the conversation to tell RiRi how he was getting on with telling his friends, and she remained engaged with his journey, telling him she was glad.
The unnamed fan told BuzzFeed that he reached out to Rihanna about a month ago, and she has been instrumental in helping him come to terms with his sexuality.
She has written constantly supportive messages since, most recently telling him “I’m so proud of you! I’m glad to see you finally happy with yourself!! Being who you are is the only way.”
