Rod Stewart: ‘I don’t mind if my son turns out to be gay, as long as he’s happy’

Rod Stewart has revealed his five-year-old son likes to dress up in his mother’s clothes, and that he doesn’t mind if he turns out to be gay.
Speaking about his eight children, Stewart said he doesn’t know what lies ahead for his youngest child Aiden, whose mother is Penny Lancaster.
“The little one, I don’t know yet. He likes dressing up as a lady. So we don’t know which way he’s thinking,” he told The Interview People.
“He’s always dressing up like Mary Poppins. Hopefully he’ll grow out of it.”
He added: “If he turns out to be a homosexual, that’s okay with me. As long as he’s happy.”
Of course, the boy could just be taking after his rock star father, whose glamorous attire was part of what brought him to international acclaim in the 1970s, with hits like ‘Maggie May’ and ‘The First Cut Is The Deepest’.
Stewart is the latest in a line of celebrities who have spoken openly about the gender or sexual identity of their children.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie revealed that their daughter Shiloh likes to dress as a boy and be called John, while Adele has said she’d be happy if her son Angelo was gay. He was photographed with her in Disneyland last month wearing a Disney princess dress.
