Stephen Fry marries partner Elliott Spencer

Stephen Fry has married his partner Elliott Spencer.

Fry shared the news via Twitter, along with a picture of the couple signing the wedding register together.

“Gosh. @ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing.” the 57-year-old wrote.

It was first reported that Fry and Spencer had got engaged two weeks ago (January 6), after the couple gave notice at Fry’s local registry office in Dereham, Norfolk on December 23. The QI host later confirmed the news, adding that he was “very, very happy”.

He later thanked people for their “kind congratulations”, saying he was “deeply touched” by the hundreds of messages of support.
