Steve Strange, lead singer of Visage, dies aged 55

Steve Strange, the lead singer of 80s pop band Visage, has passed away aged just 55 years old.
The Welsh-born 80s icon – whose band was known for their smash hit Fade To Grey – died in a hospital in Egypt following a heart attack, his record label confirmed last night (February 12).
Visage – credited for helping kickstart the New Romantic movement – formed back in 1979 and went on to achieve five UK Top 40 hits during the height of their popularity. The group reformed in May 2013 to release a new album titled Hearts and Knives, which was followed by a classical reworking of Fade To Grey last year.
Following the news of his passing, tributes poured in on Twitter from a wealth of fellow 80s popstars, including including Boy George and Billy Idol:
