Straight high school student invites his gay best friend to prom

A straight high school student in Las Vegas has invited his gay best friend to prom in the most adorable way.

To celebrate the start of prom season, Nevada high schooler Jacob Lescenski decided to ask his best friend Anthony Martinez to prom after seeing that the 17-year-old had tweeted about his disappointment over “never getting asked” to school events.

Lescenski made a huge banner and enlisted some of his friends to help out with the invitation:

“I decided on going to prom alone because my original date idea didn’t work out so well,” Lecenski told NewNowNext.

“Then one night I saw Anthony, who is my best friend, tweeting about wanting a date. So, I came up with the poster idea, asked my friend Mia to make it and asked him that next day. It was a giant surprise to everyone, especially Anthony,” he added.
