Tel Aviv hosts first Israeli transgender beauty pageant
Organised by Stephanie Lev, the ‘Miss Trans Israel’ pageant took place in Tel Aviv.
Thirty trans women took part in the event and Stephanie said that things are now improving for transgender women.
Contestants which include Abu Hanna, a 21-year-old took part in the pageant and, despite having a Catholic Arab family, states that her family is supportive of her.
The pageant final will take place in May and the winner is set to represent Israel at the Miss Trans Star international pageant this summer in Spain.
