The Big Reunion: 5ive’s Abz quits boyband tour
By Josh Haggis
5ive have revealed that group member Abz Love will not be taking part in The Big Reunion‘s boyband tour.
The band, a four-piece since reuniting in 2012, have said that Abz left the tour due to “personal reasons.”
Taking to Twitter to share the news, the band said: “Unfortunately Abz is unable to make The Big Reunion Tour. But don’t worry he’s not leaving the band!”
They continued: “Abz is still confirmed for all other 5ive shows coming up! We had to make a decision whether to go forward for the tour as a Three – we didn’t want to let the fans down.”
Last week (March 21), Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton hit out at plans for the boybands of The Big Reunion to head out on tour later this year.
Hamilton tweeted the show’s Twitter account, saying: “@BigReunionITV boys tour only? Feeling very bad for the ladies of this years show, don’t even get a look in. Nice to c equality 4 all.”
Damage, 3T, A1, 5ive, Blue, 911 and supergroup 5th Story will perform at arenas nationwide in October as part of the new tour, which includes a show at London’s O2 Arena.
