is gaining popularity fast. We took it for a spin to find out what the hype is all about. One thing quickly became obvious. This app is like no other.

As soon as we’d signed up we were met by a stack of ‘Moments’. Moments are authentic taken-right-now selfies from guys nearby. A bit like snapchat. But these are not from your niece showing off her new Pokémon. These are from sexy guys nearby – who’re looking to meet up. At this point we’re hooked.

The first one up, Ryan, is cute but not our type. Next guy. Now we’re talking. Daniel’s profile states that he’s ‘Optimistic, Playful and Pretty’. He gets a quick ‘thumbs up’. We sit and wait. Beep, beep. New messages from Daniel. Seems like he really is playful. While it’s tempting to take the flirtatious direction with this stunner, we confess our ‘strictly professional’ motivations. Daniel agrees to meet up to give us his take on this new app.

“What I really like about Hanky is how authentic it is. You know… on other apps I’ve been wasting so much time looking at profiles with stupid cartoon pictures, guys pretending to be something they’re not, talking shit and wasting my time. This is different. I’ve only been using Hanky for a few weeks but at this point it’s the only gay app I’m using.”
