This gay couple are sharing a kiss a day to fight homophobia

Less than two months have passed since Omar Mateen entered Orlando’s Pulse LGBT nightclub and killed 49 people.
It was that devastating turn of events which led German-American Denis Farr to take to Instagram day right the attack with the intention of fighting anti-gay hate by posting one picture a day of him and his partner, Pete Eusch, exchanging a kiss.
Seven weeks later and his #TwoMenKissing e-campaign is still up and running, and almost a quarter of the way towards his the 365-picture milestone he set himself, the Daily Beast reports.
“It felt like if I wanted to make a comment on how this is rare enough to be able to establish such a strong reaction, I’d rather respond by flooding through with a lot of pictures,” Denis said.
“If posting these will normalise gay and same-sex love, I will keep doing it.”

He also mad the point that gay men are still met with fear and stigma when they venture outside of their own private spaces.
“Despite living in a Chicago neighbourhood that has many LGBTQ establishments and is very friendly otherwise, my boyfriend and I can still have slurs yelled at us for just holding hands.”
He adds: “There are moments when Pete and I will just pause and exchange a moment of acknowledgment that we may be in a place where we may not be safe (…) It’s that internal safety indicator that I’m assuming most minorities experience.
“It serves as a reminder to me how how certain privileges of my own allow me to move through spaces in a different manner”.
