Three men have been arrested following an attack on journalist Owen Jones outside a London pub.
The Attitude and Guardian columnist – who is openly gay – was celebrating his birthday in Islington earlier this month when four men approached him and allegedly attacked him.
At the time of the attack, the Metropolitan Police said: “The man was assaulted by four male suspects.
“When the victim’s friends attempted to intervene, they were also assaulted. None of those injured required hospital treatment or London Ambulance Service.”
Now, three men – aged 19, 34 and 39 – have reportedly been arrested after attending a police station, according to the Independent.
All three were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
