Tom Daley is auctioning his trunks for LGBT charity
By Will Stroude
This is it people. The day we’ve all been waiting for: a chance to get our hands on a pair of Tom Daley’s swimming trunks (well, by non-illicit means at any rate).
Yep, in a move which we’re slightly concerned could spark a run on the banks, the gold medal-winning diver has donated his barely-there swimwear to a charity auction to help to raise money for the London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard (LLGS), which provides a free & confidential support & information service to LGBT people throughout the UK.
Bidding for the pair of signed trunks starts at £300, and the online auction will be open until next Monday (June 29) – though Switchboard have specified that the trunks are in fact ‘unworn’ *sad face*.
Daley has also been supporting the charity’s recent #SwitchboardSelfie campaign, and earlier this month he shared his own selfie with his Twitter followers to help raise awareness about the organisation’s work.

LLGS is the oldest LGBT helpline in the UK and last year celebrated its 40th anniversary – as well as winning Attitude’s Community Group of the Year Award 2014. Since being founded in March 1974, Switchboard’s volunteers have taken calls from more than than million people.
Well what are you waiting for? Get bidding people! It’s all in the name of charity right? But first, maybe take a moment to remind yourself of exactly what’s on offer below *gets out chequebook*
Oh to be those trunks.
Meanwhile, Tom’s been busy winning a bronze medal in the men’s 10m platform final at the Diving World Series in Mexico last month – and naturally, we took an in-depth, in-picture look at some of the event’s highlights.
Even better, we recently celebrated the current Attitude HOT 100 champ’s 21st birthday with 21 of his hottest ever moments – click here to take a look.
If you want to get involved with the Switchboard selfie campaign, get snapping and post it with the hashtag #SwitchboardSelfie and a link to the website www.switchboardselfie.lgbt.
