Toronto’s ‘gay serial killer’ had worked as Santa Claus at mall

The alleged Toronto gay ‘serial killer’ had previously worked as a mall Santa according to new reports. 

Bruce McArthur hit headlines last week after he was charged with five counts of murder after police discovered human remains in planters at properties the 66-year-old had worked at. 

As police continue to search properties the killer had worked at, Agincourt Mall have revealed that he had served as Santa Claus at their shopping centre. 

In a statement, the mall said: “He was hired through an event management company who provides various forms of entertainers including Santa to many events throughout the (Greater Toronto area).” 

“There were no reported incidents by customers or by store and mall employees during his time at the mall. We extend our condolences to the families and friends of the victims of these horrific crimes.” 

Canadian publications including Global News reported last month that McArthur’s Facebook showed images of him posing with various families in his Santa Claus costume.

McArthur, who owns his own landscaping company called Artistic Design, was arrested and charged for the murder of two men last month.

A week later, he was charged with the deaths of three more men whose remains were found in planters. Earlier this month, the remains of three more victims were found.

Meanwhile police, who found a naked man chained to a radiator on the morning of McArthur’s arrest, revealed they have plans to excavate properties McArthur had worked at.

They had also discovered that McArthur had originally been banned from Toronto’s gay village.
