Tory candidate hopeful says she doesn’t judge despite claiming gay sex is immoral

A Conservative Party candidate said she doesn’t “make judgements” after saying gay sex was “immoral” last year.
Hillary Su is hoping to be elected as a local councillor in the Soho constituency – the heart of the LGBT community in the capital – but in a tweet last year, she dubbed gay sex as “immoral” after she was asked about Tim Farron’s stance on gay sex.
She wrote: “The right to private life, however immoral, is what free society offers – so long [as] it doesn’t interfere with others or break laws. [sic]”

Su then slammed the former Liberal Democrat leader – who is widely known for refusing to say whether he believes gay sex to be a sin – for failing to “defend his faith”.
However, in an email interview with BuzzFeed News, Su refused to answer whether she thought gay sex was immoral.
She said: “Who am I to judge?
“I am here to serve the public. I do not make judgements on what people do in private.
“I am proud of the Conservative Party’s record on equality. We legalised gay marriage and stand by to protect their equal rights. [sic]”
