Union J Jaymi: ‘Vatican proposal was two fingers up to Pope’
By Will Stroude
Union J member Jaymi Hensley has revealed that he proposed to his fiancé Olly Marmon in Vatican City during a trip to Rome in 2010.
Speaking exclusively to Attitude in our special Love & Marriage edition, the singer admitted that he enjoyed making the spontaneous proposal at the home of the Catholic Church.
“We walked through the Vatican and sat down by the fountains. Then I thought to myself; there’s no one here, just us and a choir singing somewhere in the background,” the 24-year-old recalled.
“It was an amazing setting and also I liked the fact that it was two fingers up to the [then] Pope!”
The couple have been together for almost six years and are planning to tie the knot just before Christmas.
