Urban Outfitters criticised over concentration camp-style tshirt

Urban Outfitters has been criticised for selling a shirt that looks similar to the uniform gay people were forced to wear in Nazi concentration camps.
The shirt in question features a striped design navy blue and white accompanied by a downward facing pink triangle. Check out a side-by-side comparison below:
In a statement following the controversy, the Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Holocaust survivor Abraham Foxman urged the clothing company to remove the shirt from sale.
“Whether intentional or not, this grey and white striped pattern and pink triangle combination is deeply offensive and should not be mainstreamed into popular culture. We urge Urban Outfitters to immediately remove the product eerily reminiscent of clothing forced upon the victims of the Holocaust from their stores.”
This isn’t the first time the retailer has been branded insensitive for its clothing. Last year they were criticised for selling a sweatshirt with fake blood stains featuring a logo of Kent State University – where four students were murdered in 1970.
