US retailer Target has launched a range of T-shirts supporting LGBT Pride month – including several designs by popstar Gwen Stefani.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is celebrated each June in the US to honour the 1969 Stonewall riots.

The discount supermarket chain is selling the T-shirts exclusively online, and will donate up to $120,000 (£71,000) of the proceeds to a non-profit organisation that supports gay families.

“Over the past year, we heard from our team members and guests that they’d like to see an assortment of Pride merchandise available at Target,” a spokesperson for the chain told the Star Tribune, explaining the impetus for launching the special range.

Yesterday (June 5), the retailer tweeted to inform customers that the Pride T-shirts are now available to buy.
