Video emerges of gay party boat carrying 60 capsizing in Mexico, as virus rages
Footage shows floating partygoers being rescued off the coast of Puerto Vallarta.

A gay party boat carrying 60 people was filmed sinking off the coast of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on New Year’s Eve.
Footage of the incident has emerged on social media, showing party-goers floating in the sea and being rescued near the popular LGBTQ destination.
The boat belonged to company PV Delice Party Cruise, reports Newsweek, and began to sink at around 5pm.
“It was a scary situation”
Describing the ordeal, Emilio Blanco alleged to Out and About PV: “I think the crew just didn’t know how to manoeuvre the catamaran very well, the sea was not very rough nor was it too windy.

“I saw at least 10 small boats coming to help. I jumped in a private boat whose owners were graceful enough to send their captain to help out. It was quite a scary situation!”
He added: “It was like the Titantic, it went all down slowly.”
Nobody was injured, reports OAAPV.
According to the PV Delice Party Cruise website, the New Year’s Eve cruise featured open bars, go-go boys and a stop at a clothing optional beach. Tickets were priced at between $120-150 (£88.17-110.21).
Local coronavirus rules indicate people are not to hold gatherings of more than eight people, and that bars must close by 7pm.
Americans have reportedly been flocking to Mexico in recent months for holidays or long-term stays, causing coronavirus cases to surge.
As of Monday 4 January 2021, there have been at least 1,448,7000 cases of coronavirus in the country, with at least 127,213 having died.
A negative coronavirus test or quarantine is not currently required upon arrival in Mexico, according to Business Insider.
