Watch Australian footballers in moving anti-homophobia campaign for IDAHOT

By Rhys Matthews

To mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) today (May 17), several straight Australian football stars have made a moving video against homophobia.

Some of the biggest names in the Australian Football League, including Leigh Montagna, Matt De Boer and Chris Dawes, marked 17th May by encouraging fans of the sport not to use homophobic language and to “call out” those who do.

While there is not an openly gay professional played in the Australian football league, the stars of the game were filmed leaning about the history of IDAHOT and the various struggles people face in Australia.

Stop the prejudice. You have the power to #influencechange #footy4idahot
