Watch: Erasure fan start a mass Tube sing-a-long
By Will Stroude
London public transport isn’t exactly for famed for warm social interaction, but this video of an Erasure fan prompting a mass sing-a-long on the Tube has proved that there’s still some festive cheer lurking in the capital’s commuters.
Watch the heartwarming moment below:
Neil Francis, who sings professionally at venues around in Norfolk, was waiting at the Kentish Town station after an Erasure gig on Monday (December 15), when he decided to break into a rendition of the band’s 1988 hit A Little Respect, reports the BBC.
“I love the sound of the acoustics in the tube station, so I thought ‘give it some’,” he said. “It went mental, and got louder and louder.”
Mr Francis, who admitted he’d had a couple of drinks to “wet the whistle”, said people asked him to carry on singing once they got on the train.
