Watch: One dad’s heartwarming reaction to his son’s new doll

One father’s touchingly open-minded reaction to his son buying a new Disney princess doll has gone viral online.

The video of Mikki Willis with his two sons in a shop car park has been viewed almost nine million times since being posted to his Facebook page last Friday (August 21), and it’s not hard to see why.

Mikki filmed the video after his son was given two of the same presents for his birthday, so went to the store to swap one  – which he did, for an Ariel princess doll (a commendable choice, we might add).

Asking the camera, “How do you think a dad feels when his son wants to get this?”, Mikki’s beaming son soon answers the question himself, shouting: “YEEEEEEAH!”

Sharing his son’s enthusiasm, Mikki yells: “YEAH! That’s how I feel!”

The father of two goes on: “I let my boys choose their life, that’s how momma and I are, we just say whatever. We say yeah!

“Choose it, choose your expression, choose what you’re into, choose your sexuality, choose whatever.”

And then comes the kicker.

“You have my promise forever to love you and accept you, no matter what life you choose. Yeah!”
