Watch what happens when two men hold hands in Jerusalem
By Nick Bond

In the wake of the lethal stabbing attack during Jerusalem’s recent Gay Pride Parade, a familiar hidden camera experiment has cast a light on the struggles still felt by LGBT people in the Israeli city.
Two men, Shai and Ophir, went for a stroll in the city centre holding hands – all the while accompanied by a hidden camera organised by Israeli news service Ynet. While many passers-by couldn’t contain their shock at the sight – many literally stopping in the street to gawp at the pair – they also endured frightening homophobic verbal abuse. Have a look at the sobering 90-second video below:
The hidden camera experiment comes in the wake of similar stunts in Russia and Kiev in recent weeks – the latter of which ended in a Neo-Nazi attack.
