WATCH: Woman proposes to girlfriend at Ryan Gosling film premiere

Ryan Gosling’s effect on women has been well-documented. This might be the first time he’s prompted a lesbian marriage proposal, though.
Gosling was on-stage during an audience Q&A for his directorial debut Lost River at South By Southwest over the weekend when an audience member stood up to ask a question.
Only the question wasn’t for Ryan, or any of his cast on stage, including Eva Mendes and Saoirse Ronan.
“I think your film was amazing. I want to kind of take away for a second, if I can, and ask my girlfriend of 11 years if she’ll marry me,” the woman said, drawing gasps from those on stage and in the audience.
Gosling immediately rushed to hand her his microphone.
“This really wasn’t planned,” she said, turning to her girlfriend.
“My heart’s pounding…we’ve been together 11 years and had our ups and downs…I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.”
The woman’s girlfriend nodded and embraced her as the audience cheered – we’ll assume that was a yes, then.
Ryan Gosling: Bringing couples together. We hope this loved-up couple at least try to rope Gosling in for Best Man duties at the wedding.
