What are The Wanted’s five best songs?

The Wanted caused dismay online yesterday (January 22) when they announced that they will go their separate ways after their upcoming tour.

Although Max, Siva, Nathan, Tom and Jay have assured fans that they will work together again in the future, it would come as no surprise if the group’s break eventually becomes a permanent thing. Remember ‘N Sync? They announced a “temporary hiatus” in 2002, and they haven’t recorded new material together since.

Whether The Wanted boys reunite in the future or not, now feels like the perfect time to look back on five standout songs from their three and a half years in pop.

All Time Low

The Wanted released their impressive debut All Time Low in the summer of 2010, and it’s arguable they haven’t released anything quite as good since.

Heart Vacancy

Max and co. haven’t released many ‘slowies’ during their time in the charts, but their second single Heart Vacancy suggests that maybe they should have done.

Lose My Mind

The fact we have included the group’s first three singles is quite telling. Lose My Mind is a great piece of boyband pop, and we enjoyed the music video a lot too. Who wouldn’t want a date at the funfair with Max?

Glad You Came

The Wanted’s move into Europop eventually got a bit tiresome, but Glad You Came still hits the spot. It was a turning point for the group and became their first track to chart on the US Hot 100.

Walks Like Rihanna

We’re really didn’t want to like this song when it debuted last summer, but it won us over in the end. The music video – which sees the boys spoof past Take That and ‘N Sync videos – is a lot fun. Supposedly RiRi herself is a fan of the song, so who are we to disagree?
