The figure skater has made history in Pyeongchang.
Figure skater Eric Radford has become the first ever openly gay man to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics.
The 33-year-old Canadian won a gold medal in the team figure skating event after a performance to Adele’s ‘Hometown Glory’ with partner Meagan Duhamel.
Radford has now made history and took to Twitter to celebrate the news.
“This is amazing!” he wrote. “I literally feel like I might explode with pride. #Olympics @outandproud.”

Radford came out during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, where he won a silver medal.
Meanwhile, fellow skater Adam Rippon – who opens up about his own journey to self-acceptance in the latest issue of Attitude – made history for the US Team after taking a bronze medal in the team competition.
The 28-year-old athlete performed to Coldplay’s ‘O’ and ‘Arrival of the Birds’ by Cinematic Orchestra.
Radford later shared a snap of the out and proud pair them posing with their medals.
