X Factor star Christopher Maloney announces engagement

Christopher Maloney has confirmed that he is engaged to his long-term boyfriend Gary Doran.

The former X Factor star, 37, who appeared as a finalist on the 2012 series of the popular ITV1 show, proposed to Doran during a romantic trip to Egypt.

Maloney announced the news on Twitter yesterday (January 25), saying it was a “shame” that the news had leaked to the press before they had a chance to tell their families.
