Swansea Pride weather forecast: Chance of heavy showers

By Will Stroude

Revellers attending Swansea Pride this Saturday (June 28) should prepare for the possibility of heavy showers, the Met Office have warned.

Speaking to attitude.co.uk earlier today (June 26), the Met Office said conditions in the Swansea area are likely to be “a bit damp” throughout the day, with showers expected mid-morning at about 10am.

A weather warning has been issued for all of South England and Wales to expect heavy showers, but at this point it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where these might fall. While it looks as though Swansea “might miss the worst of the weather”, if the city does get hit by showers, it can expect about 10-15mm of rainfall “in a short space of time.”

While any break in the clouds will see bursts of sunshine, the Met Office would like to warn anyone attending Swansea Pride that due to showers forecast for Friday (June 27) “conditions could be wet underfoot.”

Swansea Pride takes place this Saturday at Lacrosse Field Singleton Park, and will feature a headline performance from German-British dance duo Cascada – though attendees will be hoping they don’t have to ‘evacuate the dancefloor’ following today’s weather warning.

Tickets for the event are still available, with advanced tickets priced at £8 for standard entry and £25 for VIP. Tickets will also be available on the day, with standard tickets priced at £14 and VIP tickets £40.
