Basic Rights finally arrives in the UK
The US clothing brand is the baby of David Chambers and The Vaccines' Freddie Cowan

US clothing brand Basic Rights was created when The Vaccines guitarist Freddie Cowan and his band were recording their album in New York.
Fed up of not having the right clothes to work in, Freddie got in touch with tailor David Chambers and Basic Rights was created.
They wanted to create a line of simple, everyday essentials that were tailored to the highest standard with a focus on fabric and fit.
The new Spring/Summer collection takes influence from the bands upcoming world tour, and has number of statement pieces including the western jacket and long sleeved camp collar shirt.
These elevated showpieces join the label’s foundations – the kind of high quality wardrobe staples that Steve McQueen might have worn and whose subtle differences are not always apparent until the garments are on the body and the perfection of the cut is revealed.
Prices start at £40 for a pima cotton t-shirt to £230 for a Western Satin Jacket.
