If like us you’re craving a nice hot summer, perhaps a bit of an escape to some far-off beach with a cocktail (or several), then like us you’re ready for when that green list gets a bit longer!

If you need to update your swimwear ahead of that magic moment your dream destination becomes accessible again, then CDLP has the perfect range of products to get you in the mood.

The brand has also released a video highlighting the range and conjuring that sense of summer we’re all desperate for. With saturated visuals and a soundtrack that evokes summer completely. It’s pure escapism.

Their summer 2021 swimwear collection adds two new styles – the deck shorts and the swim trunks – to the classic swim shorts and even more classic briefs. Available in Anthracite, Bordeaux, Lagoon, Midnight Blue, Olive Green, and Rust, the range is consciously made. All styles are made of Italian sourced nylon fibre Econyl, made from ocean and landfill waste, including fishing nets and carpets. So, you’re also doing some good for the planet.

The deck shorts have a slightly heavier texture and weight than the rest of the range. However, this doesn’t mean they’re any less soft to the touch. They have a slightly broken-in look thanks to the pre-washed and tumbled material. It’s a classic look that never goes out of style.

CDLP has constructed the light swim trunks so that the colours change ever so slightly in water and the light. In the Bordeaux shorts, for example, the reds are toned down, while the navy is illuminated when looked at from different angles.

The swim shorts have a twill construction and come with a tailored finish. Short on the thighs and with curved sides, the look is inspired by the sport and running shorts of the 1970s and 80s. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t like something with a retro feel?

Lastly, the swim brief comes in a knitted jersey and with a matte look. Cut slightly lower on the hip, CDLP has taken further inspiration from the 70s with this timeless cut, but it’s more of a flirtation with the older style as opposed to a full-on replication.

With items like these, we are just buzzing to get on a flight to Mykonos and live our hot summer fantasies!

CDLP was launched in Sweden in 2016 after Christian Larson and Andreas Palm set out to revolutionize men’s underwear. Today, it’s a design house focused on luxury essentials in underwear, tops, swim, and home wear.
