Fashion is a reflection of the world around us, and many designers use their clothing creations to make political statements, champion diversity and help support charitable causes.
It’s no suprise then, that in the current global crisis many fashion brands are thinking about what they can do to support those in need through the coronavirus pandemic.
Here are a few brands and designers that are focusing on how they can support others in this crucial time.
Giorgio Armani
The Italian brand has halted all Italian production, and temporarily switched to making single use medial overalls to help fight the spread.
Founder, Giorgio Armani also released a statement, saying he wanted to make a concreate contribution to fighting COVID-19.
Gucci
High fashion brand Gucci have donated €2 million to fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
British Fashion Council (BFC)
The British Fashion Council have launched a new intiative to support designers.
Burberry
Iconic British brand Burberry are using their supply chains to make 100,000 surgical masks for the UK’s National Health Service.
Ralph Lauren
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is comitting $10 million to help their teams and communities around the world.

Jockey
American fashion brand Jockey are donating critical PPE to help the people on the front line in hospitals on a national level.
Bulgari
Proud Italian brand Bulgari have announced that they have transformed their fragrance production into a stream of free handsanitisers accessible to the Italian public services.
As well as the fashion brands mentioned here, beauty brands Coty, LVMH, L’Oréal, Estee Lauder and MAC are also doing a substantial amount to help support the health and well being of people across the globe during the pandemic.
Some are producing hand santiser instead of their usual perfumes, and others are raising and donating money for the cause.
