Abba’s Frida on reunion tour: ‘The answer is no’
By Nick Levine

Frida Lyngstad has ruled out the possibility of Abba ever getting back together to perform live.
In recent years it has been rumoured that the legendary Swedish four-piece, who disbanded in 1982, have received offers of up to $1 billion to reunite for a world tour.
“We only have one answer and that is no — we’re not going to do it,” Frida told London’s Evening Standard last night (April 7).
She then pointed to a picture of the band in its 1970s prime and continued: “That’s how we looked at that time, with all the energy, excitement and motivation. It’s not exactly the same nowadays, if you know what I mean.”
The singer went on to add that “no amount of money would change our minds”, before hinting that the band might, however, be tempted to record a song together.
“Maybe we sometimes say it would be good to do a song together again, just a recording and nothing else, but I don’t know if that will happen — so don’t say that we will!” she said.
Frida and her former bandmate Björn Ulvaeus attended a party at London’s Tate Modern last night (April 7) to mark the 40th anniversary of the band’s famous Eurovision triumph and launch ABBA — The Official Photo Book.
