Adele teases new album title with cryptic tweet
By Josh Haggis
Adele teased the title of her upcoming third album with a cryptic message on Twitter last night (May 4).
The eagerly-anticipated follow-up to Adele’s blockbuster 2011 album 21 is expected to be released later this year.
The London-born singer celebrated turning 26 today (May 5) and marked the event by tweeting “bye bye 25…see you again later in the year x” – suggesting that the album may be called 25.
The Rolling in the Deep singer’s previous albums 19 and 21 were both named after the age she was at the time of making them – so the title would follow that trend.
Last month (April), reports suggested that Adele is considering a comeback gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall to promote her new album, which is rumoured to be coming out in October.
Adele released her second album 21 in 2011 and it went on to become a global phenomenon, selling over 30 million copies worldwide and spawning the smash hit singles Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You.
To mark her birthday, Attitude has compiled the unaffected singer’s most brilliant don’t-give-a-f**k moments.
