AMI set to open stylish flagship London store
By Nick Byam
Do you want to know the hottest architectural tea that’s just spilled all over the Attitude HQ desk? Well gather around…
Word has it that AMI are continuing their quest for world domination by opening their first London flagship store in Duke Street. In fact, it’s Creative Director Alexandre Mattiussi’s intense love for London’s energy that has prompted this exciting expansion for the brand.
The brand’s masculine and elegant aesthetic is fully visualised within the new store, located in one of the capital’s iconic listed structures: a Grade II listed, traditional organic patisserie.
The opening marks Mattiussi’s fifth collaboration with the leading architectural firm Studio KO, who have previously designed all of the AMI stores in Paris and Tokyo. Hence, the London store matches wonderfully with its international siblings.
The exposed brick walls, touches of brass, and heavy splashes of marble, wood and mirrors are all placed throughout the store to create an optical illusion of reflections.
The two-floor store aims to marry quintessential British architecture with the brand’s iconic Parisian aesthetic to create pure shopping heaven. Be sure to head down to 75 Duke Street, London, W1K 5PA and see for yourself.
